4 Marketing and Sales Tips for Tremendous Business Growth

October 20, 2017

When it comes to business growth and development, there is a lot you can do to enable said growth, and so many ways to go about it, especially in this day and age when you can reach millions upon millions of people living all over the world in a matter of clicks. There are several channels you can choose from, and within those channels there are several media platforms you can adopt. In short, there are lots of opportunities for business growth if you know how to market and sell--and do it well!

Marketing and Sales Tips for Business Development

To that end, following is a list of tips which can help you not only build a vast and diverse business network, but also make customers who will take your brand to new heights

1)Expand Marketing Mediums

Chances are that you might have heard of one marketing medium which is effective, such as TV commercials or print ads. While they are undoubtedly effective, they are limited in their scope and they cost a lot to put into effect. Even then, there is no guarantee that they will reach all the people you are trying to reach. This is why you need to consider other mediums such as social media. Today, social media platforms are the most powerful marketing channel, since there is virtually no limit to the scope of social media and you can make customers all over the globe.

2)Differentiate between Sales and Networking

The two are not mutually exclusive, and there is quite a bit of difference between them. If you are attending a business networking meeting, do not try to generate sales by introducing your product or by giving the attendees your business cards. Instead, try to build a relationship with them, which will then help you turn them into qualified clients when you actually try to sell them something.

3)Identify your Customer before Marketing to Them

You need to know who your customer is and what they are interested in before you try to market your service of product to them. This is especially true if your marketing strategy includes social media, or has social media as a majority channel since those business owners and/or marketing and sales managers will have the biggest potential audience on their hands. Instead of marketing and trying to sell to everybody, triangulate the audience and market specifically.

4)Create Catchy and Compelling Content

When it comes to marketing and sales tactics directed towards an audience that is used to seeing a plethora of content every day, it pays to invest in creative and compelling content. The viral factor comes into play here, and it has the potential to give your marketing as well as your brand a boost like never before. The more creative and catchy content is, the more it will be shared and discussed, effectively giving your business a tremendous boost.
