While they are undoubtedly effective, they are limited in their scope and they cost a lot to put into effect. Even then, there is no guarantee that they will reach all the people you are trying to reach. This is why you need to consider other mediums such as social media. Today, social media platforms are the most powerful marketing channel, since there is virtually no limit to the scope of social media and you can make customers all over the globe.
2)Differentiate between Sales and Networking
The two are not mutually exclusive, and there is quite a bit of difference between them. If you are attending a business networking meeting, do not try to generate sales by introducing your product or by giving the attendees your business cards. Instead, try to build a relationship with them, which will then help you turn them into qualified clients when you actually try to sell them something.
3)Identify your Customer before Marketing to Them
You need to know who your customer is and what they are interested in before you try to market your service of product to them. This is especially true if your marketing strategy includes social media, or has social media as a majority channel since those business owners and/or marketing and sales managers will have the biggest potential audience on their hands. Instead of marketing and trying to sell to everybody, triangulate the audience and market specifically.
4)Create Catchy and Compelling Content
When it comes to marketing and sales tactics directed towards an audience that is used to seeing a plethora of content every day, it pays to invest in creative and compelling content. The viral factor comes into play here, and it has the potential to give your marketing as well as your brand a boost like never before. The more creative and catchy content is, the more it will be shared and discussed, effectively giving your business a tremendous boost.
